As many as nineteen thousand four hundred and forty one people have positions in the University of Rochester and it is the largest employer there. The top ten companies to offer positions are: University of Rochester, Wegmans food market, Eastman Kodak, Rochester general health system, Xerox, Unity Health system, lifetime health care, Paychex, Rochester institute of technology and the ITT industries. Several blue collar positions are also available due to the boom in real estate and due to a population of almost two hundred thousand people. Along with its famous 'white hot' and 'garbage plate' the urban crowd likes to eat out adding to the food and beverage handling positions. Hotels also have cropped up due to economic concentration and these add to the Rochester jobs.
