The best and quick way to choose a log home is to first decide the look you want and then eliminate manufacturers that don't provide your system. Log homes are not available in many categories, but only two, handcrafted and milled log homes. An untrained eye can't tell the difference between the two logs, however, if you read certain basics of logs, it would be easy for you to judge. As name suggests, handcrafted log home is made by hand where logs are peeled and notched by hands, and engraved to fit precisely on top of another log. Milled log homes are uniform, they are fitted together after cutting, and mounded easily and evenly.
